Denise Rousseau is the H. J. Heinz II Professor of Organizational Behavior at Carnegie Mellon University, jointly in the Heinz School of Public Policy and Management and in the Graduate School of Industrial Administration, where she teaches since 1994.

She is an expert and an outstanding scholar widely known in the field of organizational behavior. Her major teaching and research interestsare in the psychological contracts established inside organizations and the changing employment relations. Her current research also investigates idiosyncratic deals individual workers bargain for themselves, and how to create agreement between the psychological contracts of workers and employees. Her paper "Organizational Change That Produces Results: The Linkage Approach" addresses how companies can get the most out of their organizational change efforts. Other fields of interests arehuman resource management and strategy, organizational culture and performance, and multilevel research methodologies.

Dr. Rousseau wrotemore than 100 articles that have appeared in prominent academic journals, such as the Journal of Applied Psychology, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Administrative Science Quarterly. Her book "Psychological Contracts in Organizations: Understanding Written and Unwritten Agreements "(Sage) won the Academy of Management's Best Book Award in 1996.

She has consulted in diverse organizations andtaught in executive programs at Northwestern (Kellogg), Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, and in industry programs for health care, journalism, and manufacturing, among others.

Dr. Rousseau won many awardssuch as Vice President and Program Chair, Academy of Management (2002-2003); President-elect, Academy of Management (2003-2004); Organizational Behavior Division, Academy of Management Best Paper Award (2004).She is also Fellow in the Academy of Management, American Psychological Association, and Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Organizational Behavior.

At AILUN Dr. Rousseau offers a wide and deep analysis of psychological theories applied to the field of management. A central theme of her discussion with the students involves developing and managing an effective psychological contract between employer and worker, coworkers and clients.
